Alex is the main character, father of three year old Sherry Ann, and foster father of sixteen year old Bunni Fae, who he adopted after finding her in an abandoned house he was sent to investigate. He has a hard time juggling his work and family life while still having time for his inventions, one of which recently saved his life. Currently, he is a wizard in training.
Alex is very serious while on the job, but after his daily shower he unwinds into a very easy going, and rather casual guy. This means he can just kick back and relax wherever he is if he's off duty, be it in his uniform, clothes similar to his uniform or a tank top with shorts.
His middle name was supposed to be Leroy but somehow the sex got blotted out and the records keeper thought Alex had to be a girl by the size of the smudge so she changed it to Leanne, which is the Xadian feminine equivalent of Leroy. Le means “the,” Roy means “boy” and Anne means “girl” in the naming conventions. You got to expect alien things on an alien world, and Xade is as alien as it gets, coming from my insane mind. :P

Talent: Sixth degree Invisblilty -- She can turn herself and anyone/thing she touches invisible for up to two hours with hardly an effort. However, she remains visible to herself so sometimes she will forget she is invisible unless she pays attention to a faint sensation in her body. She is invisible in all ways, including heat signature. The only way to spot her when she is invisible is if she is careless or something falls on her, flour for instance.

Known to be insanely bubbly, Invisicat, or Cat for short, does not seem to be the type to become a vigilante. However, she not only became one but also turned into one of the best super heros on Xade by taking down the dreaded hedgehog gang single handed.

Talent: Magic itself. Some rare talents have no level, simply a name because they are so unique. Alexis can use any magic, or any power thrown at her as her own. However, she consumes fuel at an alarming rate when she makes use of her talent. If she relies on it without eating, or otherwise replacing the fuel burned, then she could easily starve to death.

Alexis is the rather insecure guardian of the planet's secrets. Her ancestors bred with the most powerful people either, talent wise or magic in order to protect Xade and be able to cope with the rampant talents polluting the planet. Because of this she has a very bizarre appearance. Having leveled on a world that does not have dragons, she now has feathered wings i n both forms, yet can still do what dragons can do, like breathe fire.

Trainer is all that remains of the most powerful wizard who ever lived on Xade. In life he was easy going country boy, who happened to be a wizard. Specially bred by Xade herself to become the Protector, Adam has wielded amazing power, tempered by a keen sense of honor drilled into him by his ever loving Uncle Willie, who raised him. Despite hating his magic at first, he accepted it and eventually started to enjoy it. He had 4 children by Princess Lydia, the king's sister, and three by Esmeralda, his fourth great aunt, who he freed of a curse that trapped her in sword form for 400 years. (It's a long story.)
Just before he died, he cast a spell to seal his essence in a golden rod but sneezed at the wrong moment, which sealed his soul instead. Since talents are attached to the soul, he kept it, and all of his personality. There is no way whatsoever to alter him, since his self is imprinted upon the very atoms of the golden staff except by destroying the staff and not finding all the pieces when you melt him down and return him.
